MLD families traveled to Washington DC to appeal to Secretary Kennedy to complete the work of the ACHDNC and include metachromatic leukodystrophy in the federal newborn screening panel. MLD families traveled from Alaska, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Arizona, and Pennsylvania to host a congressional briefing and introduce people to the children who are able to walk, talk and grow up because of the miracle of gene therapy.
